On an HP DesignJet plotter, Error 01.0:10 indicates a critical communication failure with the Main PCA (Printed Circuit Assembly) Board or the Engine Electronics Module. Essentially, the printer’s core processing unit (the Formatter) has lost its connection or ability to talk to the hardware control board.
